A way of preparing for tag that people are playing in March:
One person stands behind the one chosen as`"it" and drags a finger back and forth across his or her back while chanting the following:
Snaky, snaky, crawling through the grass
And then pokes "it" in the back with a single finger, saying:
Which finger did I poke you with?
They then hide their hands behind their back until "it" turns around, designating in their mind one hand as "fast," and the other as "slow."
"It" then tries to guess which was the finger that poked them in the back. Each wrong guess counts as "ten". So if you make three wrong guesses, you accumulate 30 points, meaning that when it is your turn to count while the others hide, you must count to 30. And if the poking finger was on the fast hand, you may count fast; if, however, it was on the "slow" hand, you must count slowly.
(pick the finger: 10 for each finger, that’s how long you have to cover your eyes while the others hide; one hand is fast the other is slow)
